Aleksandra Jucha participated in the international conference “12th International Advocacy Workshop.”

From September 3rd to 5th, Aleksandra Jucha , a representative of the Immigration Law Department, had the pleasure of actively participating in the international conference “12th International Advocacy Workshop,” organized by the International Federation for Family Development, the Family Advocacy Association Poland, and the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. The conference was held under the honorary patronage of the Ombudsman for Human Rights.

 

What was the conference about?

During the two-day workshops, participants developed so-called Advocacy Plans, focusing on key issues such as: the situation of young people in the labor market, the participation of older people in social life, and the social inclusion of migrants.

The significance of the conference

Discussions at the conference focused on the impact of the Commitments of the Copenhagen Declaration of 1995 on shaping current and future social policies, especially in the context of the upcoming 2nd World Summit for Social Development, to be held in 2025 in Qatar.

The event was a crucial step in preparing for the UN Summit and an exceptional opportunity for participants to present their proposals for Advocacy Plans, which will be showcased by IFFD during the Summit in Qatar.
