It’s out now! The latest issue of IDM Magazine features an article by our expert, Katarzyna Majer-Gębska, Attorney-at-law and Managing Counsel in the Capital Markets Law Department at Sadkowski and Partners, titled:
“Integration of EBA/GL/2024/14 Guidelines with AML Processes in Financial Institutions.”
The article discusses the relationship between the EBA guidelines and anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT) systems. The EBA/GL/2024/14 guidelines, issued by the European Banking Authority (EBA), require financial market participants to implement consistent, effective, and adequate measures to ensure compliance with EU and national sanctions. The scope of these requirements largely overlaps with existing AML/CFT systems, forcing institutions to update current procedures, organizational structures, and monitoring tools.
