Gabriel Jędrol on consolidation relief for the Rzeczpospolita daily
16.04.2024 / News / Tax / Commercial & Corporate Law
The consolidation allowance is an entitlement of a CIT taxpayer to deduct from the tax base the amount of expenses for the acquisition of shares (stocks) in a company with legal personality. It was created in order to facilitate the investment expansion of Polish companies and consists in the possibility of preferential treatment of costs incurred in connection with the acquisition of other entities.
The issue of the consolidation relief was exhaustively discussed by Gabriel Jędrol – Lawyer in the Tax Law Department at Sadkowski and Partners, in an article for the Rzeczpospolita daily.
Our expert addressed, among others, such issues as:
- entities entitled to benefit from the relief;
- the need to purchase a controlling stake;
- double deduction of costs;
- application restrictions.
