Marcin Frąckowiak in a Comment for the Rzeczpospolita Daily

Job titles will have to be gender-neutral.
As a result, changes to workplace documentation will be necessary—particularly updates to job classification lists such as grading tables, which are typically annexes to remuneration regulations. This stems from an amendment to the Labour Code (Journal of Laws 2025, item 807), published last week. The new regulations will come into force on 24 December 2025.
In an article for the Rzeczpospolita daily, Marcin Frąckowiak, Managing Counsel and Attorney-at-law in the Labour Law Department at Sadkowski and Partners, commented on the issue.
According to our expert:
“If the existing Labour Code provisions were properly followed, such a regulation wouldn’t even be necessary. After all, Article 18(3a) of the Labour Code already states that employees must be treated equally at the stage of hiring and terminating employment, in terms of working conditions, promotions, and access to training for skills development—particularly regardless of gender. That means gender shouldn’t play a role, including during recruitment.”
