The Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy has requested that the Council of Ministers’ decision of 2 April 2024 on the draft Law on the Protection of Whistleblowers be resumed. The reason for this decision is changes to the Regulatory Impact Assessment of the project.

In an article for Prawo.pl, this topic was commented on by Marcin Frąckowiak – Attorney-at-law in the Labour Law Department of Sadkowski and Partners. Our expert drew attention to the new obligations of employers under such an act.

As he states: ‘For every employer, the entry into force of the whistleblower protection act will mean an additional expense and organisational challenge. At the very least, one will have to invest in staff training, create a notification procedure, and many times also contract an external service for the notification process.’
