Mikołaj Górny to speak at the MMC Polska workshop

Today marks the beginning of the online workshop “MiFID II / MiFIR in Practice – New and Current Obligations for Financial Institutions”, organised by MMC Polska.

Tomorrow, on the second day of the event, Mikołaj Górny – Lawyer in the Capital Markets Law Department at Sadkowski and Partners – will take the floor. Our expert will deliver a presentation entitled “Conflicts of Interest, Inducements and Remuneration Models – How to Ensure MiFID II Compliance?”

The presentation will cover, among other things:

• the current regulatory approach to inducements under MiFID II,
• conflicts of interest in the distribution of investment products,
• the impact of bonus systems, KPIs and sales targets on the risk of conflicts of interest,
• the most common irregularities identified in the area of inducements and conflicts of interest,
• ESMA’s supervisory expectations regarding client servicing,
• control mechanisms aimed at mitigating the risk of misselling.
