In the latest issue, we discuss the most important changes related to the amendment of the Act on conditions for employing foreigners in the Republic of Poland.

The Act of March 20, 2025, on the conditions of admissibility of employing foreigners on the territory of the Republic of Poland regulates the rules for employing foreigners in Poland and the tasks of the state in the field of professional activity, employment support, and the labor market. The new act, together with the act on the labor market and employment services, is intended to fully replace the currently binding Act of April 20, 2004, on the promotion of employment and labor market institutions. The Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Policy has decided to divide the current act into two new legal acts.

Certain elements of the system for admitting foreigners to perform work on the territory of the Republic of Poland will change, as well as procedural aspects, including new obligations on the part of employers and strengthening the control of employment legality and tightening sanctions for illegal employment.
