From the latest issue, you will learn about the main goals and objectives of Poland’s migration strategy for the years 2025-2030.
On October 13, 2024, the Council of Ministers adopted Poland’s migration strategy for the years 2025-2030, titled “Regain Control. Ensure Security. Comprehensive and Responsible Migration Strategy for Poland 2025–2030.” This strategy outlines the key principles of the current government’s migration policy, announcing legislative changes that may impact the situation of foreigners, employers, and the functioning of state institutions and local governments.
In the latest edition of the expert commentary, Aleksandra Jucha – Lawyer and Junior Specialist in the Immigration Law Department at the Sadkowski and Partners, provides her insights.
Our expert notes that, according to many specialists, the current document focuses more on strengthening the sense of social security than on a comprehensive analysis and effective management of migration. The very title of the strategy – “Regain Control. Ensure Security” – suggests a dominant protective approach, which may hinder a full understanding and resolution of migration-related issues.
