On April 23, the 17th European Economic Congress began at the International Congress Centre in Katowice, held under the patronage of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU.

This three-day event served as an open and representative forum for debate, covering a wide and diverse range of socio-economic topics and key future trends and phenomena shaping the near future. The main thematic areas discussed during the congress included:
