In the July issue of the Real Estate Law Newsletter, we inform you about:

  • The latest legal changes regarding the technical conditions of buildings and their location. Key changes include, among others: the distance of buildings from the plot boundary, parking spaces for disabled people, and biologically active surfaces.
  • The adoption by the European Union of Directive 2024/1275 of 24 April 2024 (the so-called EPBD Directive) concerning the energy performance of buildings, aimed at promoting the improvement of the energy performance of buildings and reducing greenhouse gas emissions to achieve zero-emission building stock by 2050.
  • The draft amendment to the Building Law Act being considered by Parliament, which aims to simplify the procedure for notifying the architectural and building administration authority of a change in the use of a building or its part.

In the latest edition, expert comments were provided by Barbara Hornowska from our law firm’s Real Estate Law Team. The expert noted that:

  • The Minister of Infrastructure has approved a new Master Plan for Chopin Airport, which significantly changes the previously covered area by the plan;
  • A draft amendment to the Building Law Act is being considered by the Parliament, which aims to simplify the procedure for notifying the architectural and building administration authority of a change in the use of a building or its part.
