He specialises in the area of financial market law, with a particular focus on regulations for investment companies, investment fund companies and crowdfunding providers.
He has experience in supporting investment companies providing forex services, including those offering contracts for difference (CFD), as well as investment fund companies managing alternative investment funds. He specialises in creating special purpose legal vehicles and ensuring regulatory compliance in the day-to-day operation of organisations. He has participated in M&A transactions in the Polish real estate market and corporate due dilligence processes related to the provision of financing.
In addition to his experience at the law firm, he has also served as a supervisory inspector and internal auditor at financial market institutions. He conducts training on technical and organisational requirements for financial institutions, including, in particular, issues of risk management, operation of the compliance unit or prevention of unauthorised provision of brokerage services.
He is a finalist in the national Capital Markets Law Tournament. He is interested in corporate governance of public companies, mergers and acquisitions transactions, and issues at the intersection of corporate law and accounting. He is the author of a number of industry publications on issues related to corporate law and capital market law, with a particular focus on ESG issues and the law of corporate groups.
He speaks English (including Legal English) – certified by Certificate of Proficiency in English (Council of Europe level C2) and Toles Higher.
