In the September issue, Katarzyna Majer-Gębska – Managing Counsel and Legal Advisor in the Capital Market Law Department at the Sadkowski and Partners – highlighted the changes brought by the package of EU regulations commonly known as the Listing Act.
The Listing Act package includes:
– Regulation (EU) 2017/1129 of the European Parliament and of the Council, along with Regulations (EU) No 596/2014 and No 600/2014, aimed at increasing the attractiveness of public capital markets in the EU for companies and facilitating access to capital for small and medium-sized enterprises;
– Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on privileged voting shares in companies seeking to list their shares on a multilateral trading platform;
– Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Directive 2014/65/EU to enhance the attractiveness of public capital markets in the EU for companies and facilitate access to capital for small and medium-sized enterprises, while repealing Directive 2001/34/EC – Changes to the MiFID II Directive.
